Adding the WebPart to a Page

Open the Sharepoint Site and Page that you want to add the WebPart to. Click on the Page tab at the top of the screen and then click the Edit button.

Move the cursor on the page to where you would like to add the WebPart, then click on the Insert tab under Editing Tools.

Click the Web Part button. Choose the KWS Folder under Categories and then select the KWS Weather WebPart. Finally, click the Add button to add the WebPart to the Page.

Click the drop down arrow on the KWS Weather WebPart and choose Edit Web Part.

On the right hand side of the screen under the SPWeather section enter your Windows Azure Data Market Account Key. Enter a UK location name in the Location text box and click the Find button, this will query the Met Office data feed service to find a match for the location you entered. If this query is successful it will update the Location text box with the Met Office name which includes a location code in brackets. Please be patient when clicking the Find button as it might take a minute for the query to complete. You can also customise the Title and appearance of the WebPart here.

The weather feed is from the Windows Azure Datat Market, you must sign up at and subscribe to the Met Office data feed. You will need to enter your Account Key into the WebPart properties.

Click the OK button to commit the changes to the WebPart properties. If your happy with the changes you can then click the Page tab at the top of the screen and the Save & Close button.
